Domenica Pomeriggio

Sunday we took the bus to La Bocca della Verita, and stood in our first tourist line to see it. This is Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn's experience. Here is my version:

Waiting in line for 15 minutes. Putting hand in greasy mouth while my friend takes a picture(after paying an "offering" of €0.50). Hand fine, but in need of some soap and water. No time for jokes because guard shuffles us along.

I have to say I would have preferred Gregory Peck showing up.But I did walk away unscathed, so there's that.

Afterward we stopped by Porta Portese for my friends to get a calculator and batteries for really cheap. Still nothing cheap enough to tempt me, unless you count the TV shaped like a helmet, or the child size metallic pink space suit jacket, but for now they will just have to haunt my dreams. Then we decided to get lunch and have a picnic in the parco across the street from school and that is just what we did. It was a beautiful day and I'm pretty sure it turned into Narnia at one point because of the plethora amount of fauns. I'll leave you with these pictures:

  1. plethora means abudance, hence "plethora amount" is redundant not needed.
