So instead of studying, packing, and stressing, I went shopping with my roommate Emily and had a delightful biscotti gelato and it worked like a charm.
This blog started out as a log of my antics studying abroad in Rome, but has now morphed into the inevitable predicaments I find myself in while travelling in general.

My Mind is Missing
AHHHHHHHH! Ok, I had to get that out of the way really quickly. The American University of Rome is a precious school filled with beautiful people, but they have a flawed system. We all get kicked out of housing the day after exams end. The day after! How am I supposed to study? When am I supposed to pack? My room is in shambles. I have a headache from thinking about how I will be stranded in Europe if the ash cloud decides to go berserk.
So instead of studying, packing, and stressing, I went shopping with my roommate Emily and had a delightful biscotti gelato and it worked like a charm.

Buon San Valentino
As a special treat for Valentine's Day, I would like to invite you to experience heaven, if only from a far. I learned while visiting Florence this weekend that euphoria can be purchased for €1.60. Brace yourselves:

But with every amazing chocolate experience comes a bad one. I also learned that you must ask how much a gelato is going to cost before asking them to scoop some because you can end up paying €8 for something you inhale in 5 minutes. I felt as if I was being robbed at gun point...I won't be buying gelato for another week or so to fix that mistake.
