Tivoli Revisited

I had a mandatory field trip for my Architecture of Modern Italy class back to Tivoli. I'm still trying to figure out what part of the trip was supposed to be a Modern revelation, because Hadrian's Villa was definitely built 2,000 years ago and we spent 3 hours there while Villa d'Este was built in the Renaissance (early Modern) we spent about half an hour there. The bright side is that the flowers were beginning to bloom this time so I have some photos for you to enjoy, because if you have been reading my blog from the beginning you should know all about Tivoli already. As you can see I was still a little bitter about the walk we did to Hadrian's Villa:

Bellissima, no?
